Spherical Plain Bearing
Spherical plain bearings are particularly suitable for alternating loads with impact and shock type stresses and support low axial loads in both directions. And rod ends bearings comprise a housing with integral shank and a spherical plain bearing requiring maintenance.
RONA Bearing welcome OEM and ODM orders, the customized LOGO or drawing is acceptable for special application requirements!
Spherical plain bearing is a kind of spherical sliding bearing, whose sliding contact surface is an inner ring with a sphere convex outside diameter and an outer ring with a correspondingly sphered but concave inside surface. The Angle of spherical plain bearing varies with the size of the bearing structure, the type of sealing device and the form of the support. The Angle of the joint bearing is larger, the self-aligning function is larger. This design makes them particularly suitable for bearing arrangements where alignment movements between shaft and housing have to be accommodated, or where oscillating or recurrent tilting or slewing movements must be possible at relatively slow sliding speeds. Bearings with this sliding contact surface combination require regular relubrication.
Spherical plain bearing has the characteristics of large load capacity, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance and good lubrication, etc. And the high wear resistance of the sliding surfaces makes these bearings especially suitable for bearing arrangements where heavy loads of alternating direction, shock loads or heavy static loads have to be accommodated. Spherical plain bearing can do rotary oscillation motion in any angle when they’re adopted based on the bearing type supporting form, load size and other working conditions. Spherical plain bearings’ main types are as follows:
- centripetal plain bearings: GE…E ES CS, F, ESN, HS, DE, DS, C, T and GEEW…ES, T,
- angular contact plain bearings: GAC…S, GX…S, GAC…F,
- thrust plain bearings: GX, GX…F
Spherical plain bearing can bear radial load axial load or radial axial combined load at the same time according to their different types and structures, which are widely used in low-speed oscillating motion, inclined motion and rotary motion, such as engineering hydraulic cylinders, forging machine tools, construction machinery, automation equipment, automotive shock absorbers, water conservancy machinery and other industries.
